VP of People

As we scale beyond 100+ employees, we need an experienced Vice President of People to shape our culture, talent strategy, and employee experience. You’ll work closely with our leadership team to drive an engaging, high-performance environment that attracts and retains top talent.

What you’ll do:

People Strategy & Leadership 🙏🏻

  • Develop and execute a scalable people strategy that supports Daytrip’s growth.

  • Serve as a trusted partner to the leadership team, shaping business decisions through a people-first lens.

  • Guide our managers (both seasoned and new) in leading their teams effectively.

  • Lead and mentor a team of three across talent acquisition, employee experience, and HR operations.

 Culture & Employee Experience ☀️

  • Champion Daytrip’s culture, ensuring alignment with our mission, values, and ways of working.

  • Design and implement initiatives that enhance engagement and well-being.

  • Own the employee lifecycle, from onboarding to career development and retention.

  • Develop & Evolve Internal Roles – define role expectations, career progression paths, and development opportunities to ensure our people grow within the company.

 Talent Acquisition & Development ✨

  • Oversee recruitment and hiring strategies to attract world-class talent.

  • Be on a constant scouting mission for top global talent, especially in product, marketing and sales roles.

  • Implement growth and learning programs that empower employees and managers.

  • Lead succession planning and leadership development efforts.

 HR Operations & Compliance 📝

  • Optimize HR processes, policies, and tools to improve efficiency and employee experience.

  • Ensure compliance with labor laws and best practices across all markets we operate in.

  • Manage compensation, benefits, and performance management frameworks.

What you bring🔥

  • 5+ years of experience in HR, People Operations, or Talent Leadership, preferably in a startup or scale-up.

  • Proven ability to build and execute people strategies in fast-growing environments.

  • Strong business acumen and experience working closely with executive teams.

  • Passion for culture, employee experience, and organizational development.

  • Experience with scaling teams, employer branding, and talent retention.

  • Familiarity with HR technology, data-driven decision-making, and compliance.
